WHY DO I NEED TRAINING AS AN ACTOR?

This is the most misunderstood question among young actors in today generation.... Perhaps the question should be "WHAT EVEN IS ACTORS TRAINING?' is t a few classes here and there? or is it a bachelors degree from university? lets dive a little deeper into this shall we?

So, why do you need taint as an actor?

well I think the answer is the success stories of some of our favourite actors.... and the answer is you don't need it. Some of the best actors from the last 50 years haven't had any training as actors, and learned their craft by working - some notable actors are Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, and more. There are also many hugely successful actors who have undergone training at various institutions across the world such as, Meryl Streep, Daniel Day-Lewis, Bradley Cooper, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jennifer Lawrence, and more. All of the above references are in fact "Training" but to what degree? and how do we know how much training is enough?

It is an impossible question to answer. Each actor is different, each actor has different levels of understanding, and each actor reacts differently to certain situations, in ht same way that we are as people. There are actors courses and programs for just about any type of person/actor that I would find it difficult to understand that any body couldn't find a course that was right for them. However, everyone is different.

Wether you have the bachelors degree, or a few classes under your belt - you will know when you are ready for the big leagues. You will feel it, you will have taken the advice of your coach or your instructor, and developed your own methods and way of doing things, which is the best training of all. Who knows, perhaps you will even pass on your knowledge to others one day.
